Femme Fatale Workshop
Time: 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm
Difficulty Level: All Levels
Unleash your inner femme fatale in this sultry and powerful workshop designed to embody the essence of beauty, mystery, and danger. Inspired by the iconic screen sirens of the past - like Rita Hayworth and Marlene Dietrich - the Femme Fatale Workshop invites you to step into a character who captivates with a glance, seduces with intention, and leaves a trail of desire in her wake.
Building on the foundations of Burlesque 101, this workshop focuses on cultivating a commanding stage presence, exploring the seductive power of slow tease, and embracing the unapologetic boldness of the timeless femme fatale.
Skills Covered:
Vampy Stage Presence: Learn how to channel sensuality, mystery, and danger through every gesture. We’ll focus on commanding the stage with confidence and allure, capturing the audience’s attention from the very first moment.
Posture & Power Posing: Master strong and elegant stances that exude authority and sex appeal. These poses will form the foundation of your performance and help you move with purpose and poise.
Commanding with the Face & Gaze: Discover the art of facial expression and eye contact. From icy stares to smouldering glances, you’ll learn to communicate volumes without saying a word.
Slow & Sultry Striptease: Explore the art of taking your time. In this class, you’ll be guided through slow, deliberate peel techniques that heighten anticipation and intensify your stage presence. Every move has meaning — every reveal, a revelation.
Scarf Techniques: Add a touch of glamour and play to your act with scarf tricks (this can be transferrable to using other props, like a feather boa). Learn how to use this iconic prop to frame your body, tease your audience, and enhance the drama of your routine.
What To Bring:
A large silk scarf OR
A big piece of fabric OR
A shawl
We are learning how to conceal and reveal our bodies using a piece of fabric. Think 1950s film starlet in a convertable with a scarf around her head and neck, it should basically be a big piece of fabric. Worst case scenario, bring a towel.
Whether you're developing a new act or simply looking to bring more spice and confidence into your burlesque toolkit, this workshop is your invitation to tap into the bold, empowered energy of the femme fatale.
Let your danger be dazzling. Let your seduction be sharp. Step into the shadows, and take centre stage.

Metalesque Workshop
Time: 1:45 pm - 3:15 pm
Difficulty Level: All Levels
Metalesque is not your typical burlesque. It's a high-octane fusion of metal music and seductive dance moves that dares to push the boundaries of what's expected. It's bold, it's aggressive, and it's all about breaking free from conventional notions of femininity while rocking out to the best kind of music.
Metalesque explores the darker, heavier side of the art form.
This class does include floor work, which means students will need to be injury free & bring their own knee pads to the class.
Skills Covered:
Metalesque Choreography: Headbang and mosh along to 2 minutes of fast paced choreography set to a heavy metal track. This choreography is designed to show off strength and power, to get your blood pumping and really bring the mosh pit to the stage.
Floorwork: Thrash around on the floor to some fast paced floorwork choreography. Discover safety precautions to ensure you can smoothly get down and get up from the floor without the risk of injury. Please note: I try to keep you off your knees as much as possible and can give you options if it's not suitable for you.
Musicality: Expand your understanding of choreography and practice dancing to music you might not typically dance to. Focus on the musicality of the song and learn to pull apart the different instruments and sounds you hear so you can enhance your performance..
Headbanging and Hairography: Master the art of heavy metal headbanging and hairography as you let your hair whip and flow with the music. No hair, no worries! Learn to synchronise your head movements with the thunderous beats and create an electrifying visual spectacle that complements the music's intensity.
Empowerment: Metalesque is not just about dance; it's about empowerment. Learn to have fun and not care what others think. Break free from the limitations society places on you, and discover your own strength and self-confidence through movement and music.
What To Bring:
Knee pads
By the end of this class you will be sweaty, you will be exhausted, but you will feel unstoppable. Capture that feeling of moshing to your favourite band as you break free from stereotypes, embrace your fierce side, and dance to the powerful beats of metal music.
Inclusivity
I believe that burlesque is for everyone, regardless of gender or body type. My classes are a safe and welcoming space for all, and I welcome individuals of all backgrounds, identities, and skill levels. Whether you are a beginner or have some dance experience, you are welcome to join me in celebrating your body, exploring movement, and developing your skills. I aim to create an inclusive environment where all can feel comfortable expressing themselves and learning at their own pace. So, don't worry if you are new to dance, I am here to support and encourage you through every bump, grind, and shimmy.
What To Bring
Please bring a towel and water bottle.
You are welcome to bring a pen and paper/notebook to take notes during the workshops, but it is not required.
Dance heels are required for most workshops, please check the individual workshop descriptions.
Dress Code
I want you to feel comfortable and confident during class, so wear something that makes you feel good! Leggings, shorts, and a singlet are all great options. You're also welcome to wear lingerie or any other clothing that makes you feel sexy. However, please make sure you are able to move freely and safely in whatever you choose to wear.
In addition, I recommend wearing dance heels if possible. This will help you practice proper stance and technique, and will give you a better feel for the classic burlesque style. However, if you're not comfortable in heels, you're welcome to wear flat dance shoes or bare feet. Whatever you choose, make sure you feel comfortable and confident to strut your stuff!
